The ensemble

Affected by geopolitical conflicts, this project is also a way of expressing themselves in relation to these events. Their different origins (European-Swiss-Colombian) is a richness that they use to link different cultures and countries.

Interested in exchange, they toured Colombia in 2022 with the aim of sharing knowledge, concerts, masterclasses and workshops. In spaces focused on promoting social and cultural projects in different regions and territories.

Thus, the duo proposes to discover their sound universe based on sound, performance, visual and artistic message. Exploring with objects and electronic materials, they question the space, the stage and the audiovisual work. They draw their inspiration from current composers such as Sarah Nemtsov, Ashley Fure, Cathey Van Eck, Simon Steen Andersen…

Currently established  in Bern, Switzerland, Colombian percussionist Juliana Santacruz has worked in different musical activities as a percussionist, performer, sound artist and educator.

Nowadays Juliana is studying a Master’s degree in Contemporary artists practice – sound arts (CAP) at the University of the Arts Bern HKB. She completed a master’s degree in Percussion Performance at HKB from which she graduated with distinction, under the tutelage of Professor Brian Archinal. In 2016 she graduated as a percussionist from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia.

Romane Bouffioux

Composer, Performer

Percussionist, performer, and teacher based in Bern, Switzerland. She is particularly interested in contemporary music, creation, interdisciplinary and artistic collaboration.

Ensemble music projects allow her to play the music of M. Gordon, J. Cage, F. Haas, … and she is particularly passionate about it. In 2018 she develops a genuine interest in musical theatre and musical in sounds art and composed in 2020 her first piece for sculpture and live electronics “T.Loé”
